Dr Roger Medwell

Dr Roger Medwell is a former engineer and captain of industry.  After joining Courtaulds as an apprentice draughtsman in 1960 he progressed through the ranks to become Chair and Chief Executive of the current NP Aerospace Ltd which continues to trade internationally from its headquarters in Coventry.

Roger led the business, which became NP Aerospace Ltd for 32 years and worked from the same site for 51 years. He oversaw the growth of the company from £1 million turnover in 1978 to £187 million on his retirement as CEO.

Roger is a past alumnus of Coventry University and holds an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering awarded to him by the University. Roger continues to have a very active involvement today. 

He is a Life Member of Coventry Godiva Harriers, Trustee of Culture Coventry (Herbert Gallery and Museum, Coventry Transport Museum, Lunt Fort, and Old Grammar School), President of the Godiva Awakes Trust (Imagineer Productions), President of Armonico Consort, Deputy Chair of Broad Heath Community School, Member and Past Chair of the Warwickshire Branch of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
